Countries and restrictions

Where you can get a Magic card, where it works, and where we can’t serve you.

Magic is available to residents of most countries. The exceptions are the 15 countries listed below and the countries on the FATF lists: we don’t serve their residents.

Where you can get a card

You can open an account and get a card if you are 18 or over, complete verification, and are not a resident of one of the jurisdictions below.

Countries where Magic is not available

  • Belarus
  • Cuba
  • Democratic Republic of the Congo
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Myanmar
  • North Korea (DPRK)
  • Russian Federation
  • Somalia
  • South Sudan

Countries on the FATF lists

The FATF is the international body that fights money laundering. We don’t serve residents of the countries on its lists either. Some of them are already in the list above.

  • Jurisdictions subject to a FATF call for action: the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Iran and Myanmar.
  • Jurisdictions under increased FATF monitoring (list as of 19 June 2026): Angola, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Haiti, Iraq, Kenya, Kuwait, Lao PDR, Lebanon, Monaco, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, South Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Vietnam, Virgin Islands (UK) and Yemen.
The lists may change: the FATF updates its lists several times a year, and the list of unavailable countries changes at the request of the issuing partner, the card scheme or sanctions regimes. When they change, we update this page and the Restricted Countries and Territories document. If your country is added after you open an account, we’ll notify you in the app.

Where the card works

Anywhere cards of the card scheme are accepted — in 168 countries, online and offline. The card may not work in the countries listed under “Countries where Magic is not available”.

Physical card delivery

You can collect the physical card free of charge at the Magic office in Dubai or order delivery to another country (the fee depends on the country and is shown in the app when you order). Delivery takes 7–14 days, and the card is handed to you in person. Ask support for the office address. The app will tell you if delivery to your address isn’t possible.

Issuing partner restrictions

Our licensed issuing partner may apply its own country restrictions, for example on where a card can be issued or delivered. Any such restriction is shown in the app before you order.

The full legal version of these rules is in Restricted Countries and Territories.
